The incident happened in Bequia but the man Elton William is a resident of Park Hill on mainland St. Vincent. It is unfortunate that such incident occurs in the peaceful area of Lower Bay.

All residents of Bequia are asked to be on the lookout for any suspicious persons in your neighbourhood.

Port Elizabeth, Bequia– Police have arrested and charged Elton Williams, 44 years old Labourer of Lower Bay Bequia/ Park Hill.

Reports are Willaims was arrested for having Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Mental Defective.

According to the medical journal, a mental defective is a person who has been determined by a court or other lawful authority of having the subnormal intelligence or mental illness.

(1) Is a danger to him- or herself, or to others; or

(2) Lacks the mental capacity to contract or manage his or her own affairs.

The incident occurred on Sunday 15th Apri,l 2018, about 9:15 am.
