ABANDONMENT

I am very disgusted with the actions of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the GROSS NEGLECT of the Northern Grenadines Constituency. I have through this medium raised some issues about the plight of the residents of Bequia and while not asking for much, we are seeking some remedy to fix the damn roads on the island.

It is a matter of time and the Lord knows when that portion of the road known as “Bluff Corner” will give way and the greatest tragedy to occur on the lovely island. There is no street lighting there and residents who pay their license to be on the road deserve better. On the other side of the coin roads all over the mainland is being repaired or upgraded with sidewalks and proper drainage. This is saying that there is a tale of two countries within the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

I am using this medium again to kindly ask the Ralph Gonsalves ULP administration to put all hatred aside and do what any elected government must do for its citizens.

The abandonment and neglect of the Bequia Community High School is another issue. That started with the former representative and Prime Minister punishing the Archdeacon of the Anglican Church by using a heavy fist to have the school controlled by the government. The name was changed and today we are seeing the effects of government interference and gross neglect of the school. Mr Minister of Education I am asking you to make a priority visit to the school and see the deplorable conditions where the nation children are learning. Knowing you sir, that your good heart and judgement will cause some level of change to take place.
