October 1 – The Will That Moves Mountains
Theme Verse: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13
Meditation
The phrase “Where there is a will, there is a way” is often used in the world to speak of human determination. But in the Kingdom, the “will” that matters most is not stubborn self‑will — it is a surrendered will aligned with God’s purposes. When your will bows to His, the impossible becomes possible.
Paul’s declaration in Philippians 4:13 was not born from comfort but from chains. He had learned that the strength to endure, to press forward, and to accomplish the work of God was not in his own resolve, but in the power of Christ flowing through him. The “way” was not always clear, but the “will” — anchored in obedience — opened the path.
Many believers stall at the threshold of their calling because they wait for the way to appear before they commit their will. But in the Kingdom, the will comes first — the decision to obey, to trust, to step forward — and then God reveals the way. Abraham left Ur without a map. Moses lifted his rod before the Red Sea parted. Peter stepped onto the water before it became solid beneath his feet.
The enemy will always whisper, “You can’t.” Circumstances will shout, “It’s impossible.” But the surrendered will says, “Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done” (Luke 22:42). That will is unshakable because it is rooted in the unchanging character of God.
Application
Today, examine your will. Is it tethered to convenience, or is it anchored in covenant? The will that finds its strength in Christ will not be deterred by closed doors, hostile environments, or delayed answers.
Ask yourself:
• Have I already decided to obey God before I see the full picture?
• Am I willing to move forward even if the way is costly?
• Do I trust that if God has called me, He will make a way?
When your will is yielded, you will find that the “way” is not always a straight road — sometimes it is a wilderness path, a stormy sea, or a fiery furnace. But in every case, His presence will be the waymaker.
Prayer
Father, today I yield my will to Yours. I lay down my plans, my fears, and my conditions. Strengthen me to obey even when I cannot see the way ahead. Let my will be so aligned with Yours that no obstacle can turn me aside. I trust You to make a way where there seems to be none. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
