October 3 – The Will That Outlasts Delay
Scripture: “Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” – Habakkuk 2:3
Meditation
Delay is the enemy’s favourite weapon to weaken your will. But a will anchored in God’s promise will outlast any delay. Habakkuk reminds us that God’s appointed time cannot be rushed or hindered.
When the vision seems slow, the impatient will turn to shortcuts. But the steadfast will says, “I will wait, because I know Who promised.” Waiting is not passive — it is active trust, a declaration that you believe God’s timing is perfect.
Application
Refuse to let delay dilute your determination. Stand firm until the way opens.
Prayer
Father, strengthen my will to endure delays without losing faith. Keep my eyes fixed on Your promise. Amen.
