Another shooting in America and in the State of Florida. The question is when will the killings stop and will this be a trigger in the Caribbean Islands? I hope the authorities in the Islands take note and begin to think ahead to protect the Nations youths.

This must be an effort with all parties on board to come up with some sensible understanding to make the schools in the Islands safer. I want to speak directly to the Government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to be proactive with the security of the nation’s schools and the country in general.

Our security personnel must lay aside all forms of politics and treat every person and a citizen of the country. Whenever we allow the politics to break the fences of security it weakens the will to protect and serve the people you are sworn to serve. Therefore, I urge you to lay aside all malice, corruption and any ill will and be fair to every citizen.
