CDEMA, through its partner network, activated the Copernicus EU to provide mapping and monitoring of the La Soufriere Volcano for its ongoing effusive activity.
The Copernicus EMS is being used to produce maps of the new dome growing in the crater to be shared with
UWI Seismic Research Centre
and
NEMO St. Vincent and the Grenadines
. The Copernicus EMS data is also supporting other activities of CDEMA and NEMO SVG such as evacuation and logistics planning through the mapping of the transportation networks and the built-up area surrounding the La Soufriere volcano.
The results of the activations can be found using this link: https://emergency.copernicus.eu/…/list-of…/EMSR494
