In Loving Memory of Our Ancestors and Loved Ones
As we reflect on August, we take a moment to remember and honour our loved ones and ancestors who have passed on to eternal rest. Their memories are forever etched in our hearts, and we cherish the impact they had on our lives.
A Tribute to Those Who Have Gone Before Us
We remember their smiles, their laughter, and their love. We recall the lessons they taught us, the values they instilled in us, and the memories we shared with them. Though they are no longer with us physically, their legacy lives on through us.
Scriptural Reflections
In 2 Samuel 12:23, King David writes, “But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.” This verse reminds us that though our loved ones may be gone, we will one day join them in eternity.
In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, the Apostle Paul writes, “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.” This passage gives us hope and comfort, knowing that our loved ones who have passed on in faith will be raised again in the resurrection.
Rest in Peace
