October 2 – The Will to Obey Before Understanding
Scripture: “And he went out, not knowing whither he went.” – Hebrews 11:8
Meditation
Abraham’s journey began with a command, not a map. God’s instruction was clear, but the destination was hidden. This is the essence of faith — the will to obey before you understand. Many want the “way” spelled out in detail before they commit, but Kingdom obedience often requires a step into the unknown.
The surrendered will says, “Lord, if You speak, I will move.” It trusts that the One who calls is also the One who guides. The way may not be revealed in full, but each step taken in obedience becomes a stone in the path God is building beneath your feet.
Application
Today, choose to obey God’s voice even if you don’t have all the answers. The way will unfold as you walk.
Prayer
Lord, give me the courage to obey without delay, trusting that Your way will be revealed in Your time. Amen.
