A MESSAGE OF REMEMBRANCE

All Saints Night, November 1, 2025

On this sacred All Saints Night, we gather in spirit to remember and honor the souls who have departed from this earthly realm and now rest in the arms of the Almighty.

Tonight, we light candles for our mothers and fathers, our grandmothers and grandfathers, whose prayers still echo in the corridors of heaven. We remember the elders who kept the faith through trials and tribulations, who showed us how to worship in Spirit and in truth, who taught us that the journey continues beyond what our eyes can see.

We call to remembrance the ancestors who crossed troubled waters, who survived storms we cannot fully imagine, who planted seeds of faith that still bear fruit in our lives today. Their struggles were not in vain. Their sacrifices were not forgotten. Their spirits still guide us, intercede for us, still surround us with love that death could not diminish.

We remember the children taken too soon, whose brief lights still shine in our hearts. We remember the friends and companions who walked beside us on life’s journey, whose laughter we miss, whose wisdom we still seek, whose presence we still feel in quiet moments.

We honour those who died in faith, believing in promises they did not live to see fulfilled. We give thanks for those who showed us how to live and how to die with grace, dignity, and hope.

Tonight, we acknowledge that the veil between the worlds grows thin, and we feel the communion of saints—those who have gone before and those who remain. We are not separated, only divided by a distance we cannot yet cross. But we know the promise: we shall meet again on that beautiful shore where there is no more death, no more sorrow, no more pain.

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace and rise in glory. May perpetual light shine upon them. May they be held in the everlasting arms of divine love. And may we, who still journey in this world, carry their memory as a blessing, their example as inspiration, and their love as an eternal gift.

We remember. We honour. We celebrate the lives well-lived and the love that never dies.

May their memory be a blessing. May their souls rest in peace. May we meet again in glory.

Amen. Ashé. So be it.
