My Precious Family,
In the pursuit of big goals, busy schedules, and plans, I sometimes fear we are letting the most beautiful moments slip by unnoticed. So, I want to take a moment to celebrate the simple, ordinary magic of our life together. It’s in the quiet hum of the dishwasher after a shared meal, the collective sigh of relaxing on a Sunday evening, the silly nicknames, and the comfortable silence we can share in the same room.
These are not small things; these are everything. They are the tiny, golden threads that weave the strong and resilient fabric of our family. I am so profoundly grateful for them, and for you. I’m grateful for your laughter that fills the halls, for your help with a chore without being asked, for the way you always know when someone needs a hug. This daily, consistent love is the greatest gift of my life.
Let’s make a pact to protect these moments. Let’s put down our phones more often and look up at each other. Let’s declare tech-free zones and times where we can just be together. Let’s continue to express our gratitude for each other, not just in our hearts, but out loud. “Thank you for taking out the trash.” “I appreciate you.” “I’m glad you’re my family.” This is the language of love that builds a happy home. Thank you for this beautiful, ordinary, extraordinary life we share.
With a heart full of gratitude,
Sir Godfrey Gregg
