Sir Godfrey Gregg
I was looking at the cost to fly LIAT from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Barbados and it is more expensive for flying from Miami to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
While the ticket price seems reasonable, the taxes are more than the ticket and I am seeing the reason why LIAT is falling out the skies.
Here is a suggestion for the shareholders: Just add a Value Added Tax to whatever the ticket is and you will get more people hopping the islands.
I have another serious problem is the position of the maintenance depot. So a plane has to get back to base for daily checks and at times fly from Trinidad to St. Kitts for the check in order to fly out the next day. To me, that is a waste of time, fuel and other resources.
I will be back with more facts.
Definitely agree the tickets are too high and always late too. Steupse!
