To My Beautiful Family,
Life is a series of seasons, and I feel one shifting for us now. Whether it’s a child leaving for college, a retirement beginning, or simply the rhythms of our daily lives evolving, change can bring a bittersweet mix of pride, excitement, and a deep sense of nostalgia for what was. It’s okay to mourn the closing of one chapter, even as we look forward to the next.
But let’s not view this as an ending. Let’s see it as a transformation of our family, not a dissolution. Our roles may be changing, but our connection is simply taking on a new, equally beautiful form. This is a time to rediscover ourselves as individuals and as a unit. It’s a chance to build new traditions, to find new hobbies, and to connect in deeper, more intentional ways now that the hectic pace of earlier years may be slowing down.
My promise to you is that I will navigate this new landscape by your side. Let’s talk about our fears and our hopes for this new chapter. Let’s make plans to stay connected in creative ways. Our family story is still being written, and this new page is full of potential. It’s an opportunity to grow in new directions, together and as individuals, all the while knowing that the roots of our love run deep enough to support any change. I am excited to see what we become next.
With love and anticipation for our future,
Sir Godfrey Gregg
