Children, learning in school is a very special part of your journey. God has given each of you unique gifts and wonderful minds to discover and grow. When you come to school each day, remember that learning is not just about grades or tests—it’s about preparing your heart and mind for God’s purpose in your life.
God Loves When You Learn
God cares deeply about your learning. In Proverbs 2:6, it says, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Every lesson you learn, whether reading, math, science, or history, is a way to understand God’s world better. Think of each class as a chance to see the amazing things God has made and discover your talents.
Use Your Gifts and Be Kind
God made you special, with skills no one else has. Some children are good with numbers, others love stories, drawing, or helping friends. Use these gifts to do your best, to help your classmates, and to show kindness every day. Jesus taught us to love one another—so let your learning and actions show love and respect for everyone.
Ask God for Help
When school feels hard, don’t be afraid or give up. Pray to God and ask for help. He loves it when children seek Him. Before a test, or when you’re learning something new, ask God for wisdom. He gives it generously to those who ask (James 1:5). And remember to thank Him for what you learn.
Learning Together Is Important
School isn’t just about books: it’s also about making friends, learning teamwork, and growing together. Encourage each other, share your ideas, and be honest in your work. God loves to see children helping one another and building each other up (Hebrews 10:24).
Shine for Jesus
Always try to do your very best, because your efforts bring glory to God. When you work hard, help others, and show kindness, you shine the light of Jesus. You are all important, and your learning matters—not just for today but for every wonderful thing God has planned for you.
So, keep learning, keep growing, and remember—God is with you every step of the way. Children, going to school is a wonderful opportunity given to each of you by God. Every day in the classroom is a chance to discover the world, develop your gifts, and honour God with your minds. Remember, learning is not only about getting good grades or pleasing your teachers—it’s also about growing into the person God wants you to become.
Learning Is God’s Gift
God created you with a special brain and unique talents. In Proverbs 2:6, we read, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” That means that every lesson, every book, and every new fact is a part of discovering how good and wise God is.
Work Hard and Help Others
Whether you love reading, math, music, sports, or helping a friend, use the gifts God has placed in you. Doing your best is a way of saying “thank you” to God. And remember, God smiles when you are kind, when you help others, and when you cheer someone up who is sad. Learning together means supporting each other—just like Jesus taught us to love others.
Ask God for Strength
School can sometimes feel tough, but you are never alone. If you feel stuck, worried, or afraid, talk to God in prayer. He wants to help you! James 1:5 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God.” So, trust Him to guide you through both easy and hard times.
Shine Your Light
Always do your best, be honest, and treat others kindly. When you show respect and do what’s right, you are shining your light for Jesus. God has big plans for you, and every day in school helps you get ready for His adventure.
Children, let your learning and your kindness show everyone how much you love God. Keep growing, keep trying, and remember, God is with you on your school journey!
