Not every soul is meant to stay forever. Some are just passing through—not to build a home in your heart, but to leave a mark. To teach a truth. To stir a change you didn’t know you needed. Some people arrive like a season, not a lifetime. They come, they bloom, they change the landscape, and then they go.
You were my chapter of color. You were the season I didn’t see coming. You brought challenge and comfort, fire and stillness. You asked me questions I didn’t know how to answer and made me search for parts of myself I had long buried. You stirred growth in me that I couldn’t have cultivated alone. And for that, I am forever changed.
But chapters end. Seasons pass. And while I’ll always cherish those pages, I’m learning to let the story move forward without you in it. Not because I don’t care. Not because it didn’t matter. But because holding on to something that was never meant to stay only keeps me from what is.
Thank you for the words we shared. Thank you for the moments that shaped me. Thank you for being exactly what you were: a beautiful, necessary, temporary gift. You weren’t the whole story. But you were one of the most important chapters.
May your next chapter be just as vivid. May your story continue to unfold in ways that surprise and delight you. And may you always know that the time you spent in my life was never wasted.
Goodbye, and with gratitude—thank you.
